Scaling & Polishing

Scaling, also commonly known as “cleaning” of teeth, is performed by the dentist to remove plaque build-up and tartar deposits on the teeth and beneath the gums. Scaling is performed with a hand piece which vibrates on the surface of the teeth. After scaling, polishing is performed using a brush to remove any light staining. For more stubborn stains, air polishing can be performed.
