4 Steps to a Whiter and Brighter Smile
Tired of yellow teeth? You might be a candidate for teeth whitening! Getting your teeth whitened has never been easier. Enjoy a whiter and brighter smile in a safe environment with just 4 easy steps!
Consultation and Dental Check-Up
Our dentist shall first perform a full consultation and dental check-up to determine your suitability for the teeth whitening treatment. Your overall oral health and hygiene will be evaluated before we proceed with the next step of treatment.
If there are any decay found on your teeth, treatments such as dental fillings shall first be performed before we be proceed.
The current shade of your teeth will also be recorded as a reference.
Scaling and Polishing
In order to achieve the maximum effects of the whitening treatment, your teeth have to be cleaned first.
Any calculus (hardened food particles) and plaque will have to be removed first so that the teeth whitening agent will have a clean surface to work its magic!
In-Office Teeth Whitening Treatment
This is where the magic begins! The teeth whitening agent will be carefully applied to your teeth and a curing light will be shined onto it. This process will take approximately 20 minutes, and all you have to do is lie back and relax.
Post-Treatment Evaluation
And we're done! The whitening agent will be cleaned from your teeth and we will whip out the shade guide once more to compare your current shade with the pre-treatment shade.
If you would like an even whiter shade, additional cycles of the In-Office Teeth Whitening treatment can be performed.

Teeth Whitening - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will I experience any teeth sensitivity during or after the teeth whitening treatment?
During treatment, our whitening machine will be set to the optimum setting in order to achieve the best results for the whitening effect. Most patients do not experience any sort of sensitivity during treatment. Rest assured, there will always a staff member on standby to monitor the treatment. In the event of sensitivity, the intensity of the curing light will be reduced to a lower setting.
After the treatment, some patients might experience a little transient sensitivity. The sensitivity is temporary and will disappear in a day or two.
Do I have to avoid any foods or drinks after treatment?
Yes, you will have to avoid foods and drinks that can stain your teeth such as curry, tomato sauce, red wine and coffee for 24 hours. Check out our guide for the do's and don'ts post teeth whitening treatment.
How many cycles of teeth whitening do I need?
The answer varies from person to person. Some people are already satisfied with the shade achieved after undergoing one cycle, while people who want a whiter shade will have to undergo up to 3 cycles.
I do not have the time/I feel anxious in a dental clinic. Is there a teeth whitening kit I can use at home?
Yes, there is! We do offer a Take Home Teeth Whitening Kit which can be safely applied at home. However, a consultation from a dentist is needed beforehand to determine the suitability of the treatment.
Please keep in mind that the results of the teeth whitening will largely depend on your adherence to the instructions given. Self discipline is key for those who opt for the Take Home Teeth Whitening Kit.
How long can the effects of the teeth whitening treatment last?
This answer varies from person to person. The effect may last up to 2 months for some people, or even up to a year for some others. There is no set answer, and the longevity of the teeth whitening results depend largely on the oral habits of the individual. People who consume staining foods and drinks regularly (e.g. curry, red wine, coffee) or have a habit of smoking will have the effects wear off quicker.
Teeth whitening is not a one-time procedure and will need to be repeated if you want to maintain the lighter shade of teeth.
